Palentologist

Beckett and I watched a DVR'd Sesame Street yesterday, and the word of the day was palentologist.  That led us to all kinds of fun activities, including this dinosaur dig.  I buried dinsosaur fossils (small dino toys) and bones (macaroni and rotini) in a casserole dish and covered them with rice.  Then we got our palentologist tools (paintbrushes and tongs) and Beckett began trying to find fossils.  He loved it and wanted to do it over and over. :)

Little Scientist

He didn't have time for tongs!

Look!  A Stegosaurus!

What else can I find?

His finds on the mat, and he reaches for the dish to bury them again.

It's an Anklyosaurus!

Daddy even joined the fun!

What could this be?
We had a great time and he wanted to show Papa how to do it this morning.
