Museum?

I've convinced myself that going to Toys R Us in a rainy day is similar to an exploratory play center or museum. :)

The kids had a blast and disk know any different!

Harpy has expensive taste.
Steak and Shake for lunch! Beck wanted corn dogs AND chicken.  :). He earned two quarters for helping and being a good listener even though nap time was quickly closing in.
This one!

Church Mouse

There weren't enough people in the nursery today, so little miss got to stay with Mommy and Daddy. She LOVED the music and made lots of friends.
Kissing bye-bye!

Messy Mania

Our play date on Thursday was at Emmett's house. Kim had all kinds of messy fun ready for us, including a pool full of corn, a pool full of water beads, and another full of shaving cream. Add in the sprinkler, a swing set, and all our besties, and you have a recipe for an amazing day!

We had a great time - take a look!

Bye, H & H

Hadleigh and Hampton hit the road this week. We got to send them off with a picnic play date at Lytle Park.

Beckett and Shonn were wrestling, and... His first shiner! (Asleep on the way to Chris and Allison's after a productive trip to the indoor playground in Champaign, followed by Toys R Us!)

Second Day of Summer

His morning, the fun continued with a trip to Bright Starts playground, Wyman park, Tabor Park woods, and the library. Harper walked all over the park holding just one hand! Beckett was a great listener and climbed on everything and then ran all over the park.
Bright starts:

Wyman Park:
Tabor Park:
We had fun throwing stocks over one side of the bridge and watching them float out the other side!
Beckett had this stick "to protect us" in the woods.
There was a wooden jungle gym for more climbing...and plenty of squirrels for chasing.

Library and lunch followed... Both kids are zonked out now. :)

Summer Fun Day One

We had the best start to summer! The kids slept in until about 7:00 (!) and we made pancakes and green eggs and ham. (Beck's request.)  we've started a new daily chart to focus on three jobs: 1) follow directions, 2) be kind to others, and 3) keep hands and feet to ourselves. We made a quick schedule and he earns stickers for doing his jobs during each event of the day. (He calls it "our deal".) for the deal today, he wanted to read, do puzzles, and play. So, we did! We added in a water balloon party, which he loves. Harper is finally feeling better, and she loved the balloons, books, and puzzles, too! She is thisclose to walking!

Park:
The magic lid was in papa's banana!

We had a delicious lunch and played outside until 8:00! Mom and Dad stopped by and Papa helped Beckett find a magic lid that kept hiding everywhere.  I will have to add water ballon pics later.

Today was full of laughter and sunshine. It was wonderful!
