Harper at Two

Harper had portraits made for her second birthday. She is such a sweet baby girl, quickly turning into a smart toddler.  She loves animals, her brother, her grandparents, Mike and Treva, and rice.  She is smart, sassy, cuddly, very strong-willed, and knows what she wants.  She is extrememly verbal and can clearly articulate what she wants and thinks.  Some of my favorite phrases are:

  • "Hold you, momma!"
  • "Daddy, shake your booty!"
  • "I CAANNNN'T! NO! I CAAAAAN'T!" (Used when she doesn't want to)
  • "Awww, sooo cute!" (To anything little, in a very high voice)
  • (To the tune of frere jacques): "Where is Dada, where is dada? Where is he? Where is he?" (etc)  She does this for everything.
  • She knows about 1,000 songs!
What she loves to do: Play hide and seek, play outside, jump on the trampoline, hide (all the time), sing, dance, and cuddle.  She loves the Bubble Guppies, Frozen, and babies. She is naturally very maternal and loves to take care of her little toys.  Anytime someone coughs, she pats them and says, "You okay, Momma? Awww, you sick? It's okay. All better."  The sweetest, cutest thing, EVER.

She is such a beauty, and even prettier inside than out.

Harper's 2nd Birthday Party!

Harper turned two on March 21, 2015! She had a wonderful birthday party, with lots of family and friends present.

At the end of the night, Hadleigh Walden came running out to Allison and me, and said, "You guys gotta come see this!" We came inside to find all the gifts opened. HAHA!
It was a wonderful day celebrating a sweet little princess.

15 Month Appt

Harper turned 15 months old on the 21st of June, but due to immunization schedules, we had to have her appointment a little late.

She is 20 pounds (30%), 30 inches (30%), and her head is in the 95th percentile! I've decided to call her my Brainy Bobble-Head Barbie!

She can put two words together, like "hi, Doggy!" or "thank you!" pr my fborite: "i love you!", which Dr. Leifheit said was very advanced. She points and identifies many objects, including animals like dogs, cats, cows, and chickens. She is pretty good at remembering the color yellow! She loves to pretend-talk on the phone "hello? Hello!" and she calls mama, dada, meemee, papa, Lexi, and ett-itt (Beckett) by name. (I think Lexi might be her favorite. She LOVES Lexi and shares lots of her food with her.)

She gets very giggly before bed or nap and laughs hysterically. It's so cute. She also gets really excited when daddy comes home from work! Her favorite toys are her baby dolls and stickers. She cuddles babies and pats their backs (hi, babeeeee), and puts stickers all over herself.

Harp eats everything but loves pasta, pickles, and fruit the most. She especially loves blueberries and macaroni or spaghetti, but pickles are probably her number one!

Harper wasn't walking at the time of the appointment (June 28th), but she is now. Yay, Harp!

She had to have two shots, but some cuddling right after made it all better.

She's so much fun and growing so quickly!
She thought this mirror was hilarious!

11 Months of Harpiness!

At 11 months, our little sunshine is growing and changing every day.  She has four teeth and is starting to get longer hair! She "scoots" instead of crawls, pulls up on everything, and LOVES to walk by holding hands or cruising behind walking toys.  Her favorite food is bananas (by far), but she will eat anything.  She also loves drinking water!

Harper Jane loves to cuddle at night and in the mornings.  She still nurses at night, which I love because we get such great bonding and snuggling time. The rest of the day, she is becoming more and more independent.  She will play by herself, but loves playing and interacting with other kids and her grandmas, Treva, and Papas!  She also loves her daddy. :)

Her favorite "toy" is Lexi.  She loves her American Girl Doll's eyes, and she likes balls that light up.  She will also play with shape sorters.

Harpy can say "hi!" and "bye!" and wave.  She says dada and mama and she really knows how to get her way. :)

She is a sweet, smart little girl, and our world is better because of this little dolly!
