Kracht Christmas

We went to Mee Maw and Papa Kracht's house on Christmas night.  Mom made a delicious and beautiful dinner, and we really enjoyed our time together!  The kids opened presents and we all played. One of the highlights was Beckett trying out his new roller skates, which, as the picture shows, was hilarious.  He was also very excited to use his new toboggan; unfortunately, there wasn't an opportunity to try it outside that night, so Papa drug him through the house - just as fun! Harper and I got matching bracelets, and my parents had a desk nameplate made for my new job, too.  Uncle Matthew loved his BA HUMBUG hat and matching shirt from Beckett, too!  We laughed and relaxed and had a wonderful evening together.

Christmas Morning

We were lucky to have Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at home this year.  It was so relaxing and fun to be at home with our family.

9 Months Already!

This sweet little sunshine is nine months old and gets more fun every day! Her personality is emerging and we love who she is becoming! At this point, I would describe her as sweet, happy, and independent!  She wants to do so much, even though she can't crawl yet!  She can bear weight and wants you to hold her hands so she can walk.  She is also enjoying playing by herself more, as well as getting into her brother's toys. :)  She loves paper and tries to tear things.  She also loves to pick up food and feed herself - she wants to hold her own food and sippy cups.  She has two teeth, which you can see in the first pic, and more on the way! :)

She is our little sweet pea!

Making Sweets

This year making candy with Grandma was extra special because Beckett and Harper were both there!  Mom picked Grandma up Friday night and Saturday morning she came over bright and early.  We made dark and light fudge, pecan chew, caramel, divinity, and some cookie dough.  It was so much fun, and even more fun was seeing Grandma with the kids.  (The tasting part wasn't too bad, either...)

Hild Family Christmas

Last night was a wonderful celebration at Angie Cross's house.  She is Shonn's first cousin on his dad's side.  (Her mom, Lou Ann, is Shonn's dad's sister.) It was a nice drive over to Mt. Pulaski with beautiful snow on the trees and Christmas lights everywhere.  When we arrived, Beckett was excited to see the kids and immediately wanted to play with all of Tyler's toys. (He has a ton, and they are all super-cool!) Instead, though, Jim said the prayer, and we ate.  Grandma and Grandpa Hild got pizza for everyone, and it was delicious. While we ate, we caught up and visited.  We hadn't seen everyone on the Hild side since this summer's reunion party.  After dinner, we opened presents, and oh my - our kiddos were spoiled rotten!  It was Harper's first time opening gifts and she loved the paper!  Once the gifts were unwrapped, we did a lottery ticket exchange. Last year, we gave the fake winning tickets, but this year we were good!  A few people won 5-10 dollars. Then it was time for dessert - cookies from our exchange earlier in the day, ice cream, and chocolate cake. YUM!  We headed home after that and made it back around 9:30. It was a wonderful time with our family!
