Shonn's cousin, Angie, threw a baby shower for me on Saturday. I asked the doctor if it was okay for me to go and he said yes, as long as I sat down and took it easy. I was so excited to have somewhere to go other than the doctor, and to get to see so many relatives and visit was an even better bonus!
The shower was really, really nice. Angie's house is perfect for entertaining. It's the oldest house in Mount Pulaski and has some really cool family connections. Angie married Dustin Cross, whose parents lived in the house prior to Dustin and Angie. A long, long time ago, Angie's great-grandmother Hild lived there as a little girl.
My mom, grandma, and I rode together. Shonn took Beckett to the farm so they could stop by at the end of the shower. Janis, her sister, Lisa, and her mom, Grandma Beard, all came together. Then, all of Shonn's cousins and aunts were there, too! There was tons of food and a beautiful cake. Everyone gave us such nice gifts for the baby girl, too! It was a lovely day.
