Teacher Appreciation

I'm so thankful to work with amazing educators who give so much to the kids in Mattoon. Here was my Pinterest-inspired gift for the 90 educators in our  building!

Picture Day!

For Mother's Day, a local photography studio was offering "quick takes" for mothers. I scheduled a session for all the mothers in my life, and we made some great memories today. Beckett and Harper got pics with both Mee Maws and GG. (Will post when I get them)

Here are a few candids from the coffee shop where we waited to select pictures.

Planting Memories

Beckett helped Mee Maw and Papa plant flowers yesterday. He loved the dirt, the bugs, and the hose.

Good to be Me

Look what Shonn got me! ;)

It's my push present (irony = c-section) for Harper. For Beckett, he gave me the Tiffany Little Bean necklace. Now I have a little bean (boy) and a little bow (girl) from my wonderful husband.

He have this to me at the hospital, which is especially impressive because Harper was a month early!

Master Gardeners

Mee Maw and Beckett were busy planting a beautiful garden yesterday! Beckett loved digging and tilling the ground, mostly because he could find lots of "bugs and grubs". He named each one he found and then put it back in the dirt.

There are rows of sunflowers, green beans, mini pumpkins, cantaloupe, and carrots, as well as tomato and strawberry plants. Hooray! Janis marked each row with rocks until she and Beckett have a chance to make row markers as another fun craft.

She also planted some flowers for us to enjoy. How wonderful!

Fishin

Tuesday night was so beautiful that we headed to the park as a family. Shonn was home early enough that he wanted to go fishing with Beckett! We got some worms (they sell them at gas stations-ha!) and a pole and went to Wyman Pond at the park.

I got some great shots of my guys...and they got Beckett's first fish!

Ps: I love that B is wearing his swimming trunks from playing in the water earlier that afternoon. Such a boy! Haha!

Farm Visit

Papa Hild wasn't in the field today because of the rain, so Miss Harper got to visit for the first time. We rode the new Gator, which we both loved, and had fun playing! Janis made a yummy lunch of minute steaks and salad, fruit, chips, potato salad, asparagus, and peas. Uncle Adam came home after class so we got to spend some time with him, too. We had a nice visit!
