I am so, SO thankful she is willing to spend two days a week with Beckett so he gets lots of love, snuggles, and one-on-one attention. It's an hour and a half ONE WAY, and she comes down the night before to spend the night. She also makes us dinner! Here's what's left of tonight's casserole...as you can tell, it was good!
Today was obviously an emotional day for me. She knew it was going to be hard, so she brought me these flowers and a book about Motherhood. She also gave me lots of hugs. I feel so lucky to have her as a mother-in-law; she cares so much and is a very giving person!

ReplyDeleteHi Christy - this is Sue, Maria's sister in law...she told me you had a little boy recently and she posted about her visit with you and I had to tell you how cute your little boy is! Congratulations! I can relate to your emotional first day back to work...it does get easier. Go easy on yourself and don't beat yourself up feeling guilty too much. I can't say don't do it, because I did. My little guy is almost 2 now and my favorite part of the day is when I pick him up at daycare and he spots me and yells "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy!" Soon enough, Beckett will be doing that too. Enjoy your handsome little boy! I'm your newest follower too!
