Dad Scare
I had one of the biggest scares I've ever had today. My dad wasn't feeling well and ended up going to the hospital with symptoms like a heart attack. When my mom told me, I was at work, and I got that feeling people describe as "veins turning to ice". I walked right down to Kris's office and said, "Kris, my dad's in the hospital..." and when I was describing what happened, I just lost it. I've never thought about my parents as anything but invincible - they are my constants and have always ALWAYS been there for me. I was not - AM not - prepared for anything to happen to either of them.
Luckily, Kris said, "GO!" and I went. I went home, and mom went to Decatur Memorial Hospital for the tests. I prayed the whole way home. (And called Mandy, even though Mom told me not to get everyone worried.) It turns out it was NOT a heart attack (thank you, GOD!), but we're a little worried about his lungs. He doesn't complain EVER, so it's hard to know when something is wrong. He'll probably kill me just for writing about it on here. But hey, the more prayers, the better. He has more tests tonight and tomorrow.
I love him so much!
