I love our neighborhood. When the weather turns nice, everyone is outside, enjoying the quiet street and safety of knowing everyone in each house. At any moment, we could have Boy Scouts ringing the doorbell or a spontaneous visit from friends. This is especially true as Shonn begins working outside more frequently. I love that type of friendliness, and it's nothing new.... But this year, I'm noticing a new trend I haven't experienced before. The little ones in the neighborhood are getting big enough to explore, and they are completely comfortable stopping by on their own. As a result, we've had some hilarious conversations and also some impromptu kickball games start in our backyard over the past few days.
My favorite visit so far was from Riley and Caprice, who just came over to see what was going on. They played with Lexi, had a cupcake, and then started playing house with Beckett. They picked out his clothes for the week, read him several books, organized his toys, and "helped him" climb into his new bed. It was darling, and Beckett LOVED it! I hope they come back soon. :)
